Terms of Service

Clea is operated by Gumburtu AI, based in Leeds, United Kingdom. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Gumburtu AI.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the transcripts and documents Clea generates from it. You grant us only the licence needed to process your files and provide the service — storing them, sending them to the processors listed in the Privacy Policy, and returning results to you.

You confirm that you have the right to upload each recording and to have it processed.

Laws governing the recording of conversations differ widely. Some jurisdictions require the consent of every participant; others require only one. Some settings — medical, legal, educational, workplace — carry additional duties regardless of consent.

Obtaining any required consent and complying with the law where you and the other participants are located is entirely your responsibility. Clea does not verify consent and cannot advise you on it.

Clea recognises links from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook so it can show you what you pasted, but it does not download media from those platforms. Downloading content from them generally conflicts with their terms of service.

Where an operator enables a self-hosted media ingest worker, they are responsible for ensuring that its use complies with the relevant platform's terms, applicable copyright law and any rate limits or robots policies.

You may not use Clea to:

• Process recordings you have no right to process.
• Conduct surveillance of people without a lawful basis.
• Attempt to identify individuals from audio against their wishes.
• Circumvent plan limits, or resell the service without a written agreement.
• Interfere with the service's operation or security.

Automatic transcription makes mistakes, particularly with accents, crosstalk, background noise and specialist vocabulary. AI-generated summaries and insights can misrepresent what was said. Review the transcript before relying on it for anything consequential — and especially before relying on it as a record of what someone said.

Plan limits are described on the pricing page. Paid plans, when available, renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current period.

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why where we are able to.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in the application before they take effect.
